Less than two weeks in, I had an extremely bad allergic reaction. It started out with these ugly, itchy red hives on my left arm.

I've always been one to go for the natural route and am starting to feel like I should just stop taking everything and see what happens - so frustrating. My doctor now wants me to start on Chloroquine instead of plaquenil.

  4. Mar 25, 2015 I am still fighting this allergic reaction. I just spent a few days in the hospital on IV steroids. they said that Plaquenil can take up to 50 days to clear the body. Anyone else had to deal with this? How long did it take to clear up? Any helpful tips? Also, on a facebook page some people posted pics of their Lupus rashes.
