Plaquenil can change the pigmentation in the skin, so it would stand to reason that it can do the same with hair. I have experienced the change in pigmentation on my legs. It looks like I have a huge bruise on the back of my leg which extends from the calf to the ankle. I call it a perma-bruise. My dermatologist had suggested Rogaine but my rheum said I'll be stuck on it for life (and it's expensive) and it only works "less than 60% of the time" according to its own website.

I’ve read a couple of studies evidencing hair color changes in people with lighter hair taking plaquenil but can’t seem to find much else on it.
